Lake Como Experiences
Performance Intelligence
Search Console and SEMrush One performance across organic search and AI discovery surfaces.
A combined reading of Google Search Console and SEMrush One across the US market. Each KPI is interpreted from two angles: SEO — classic organic visibility and ranking health — and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) — how the brand surfaces inside ChatGPT, AI Overview, AI Mode and Gemini.
SEOStrong organic demand captured by ranking pages. Clicks compressed mid-2025 then rebounded in Q1–Q2 2026, confirming the recovery of money pages on Bellagio, Varenna and boat-tour clusters.
GEODirect clicks are still the dominant conversion path while AI answers expand. Defending click share means keeping snippet clarity high so AI engines keep linking back to LCE pages.
SEOWide SERP footprint across long-tail Lake Como queries. Volatility reflects seasonal demand and a few core landing pages losing depth during summer 2025.
GEOHigh impression volume gives AI crawlers (Google-Extended, OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot) a richer corpus to cite from — the foundation of any GEO strategy.
SEOBelow the travel benchmark (~1.2%). Suggests titles and meta descriptions need rewriting on top experience pages to lift click-through where rankings are already strong.
GEOLow CTR is partially explained by zero-click SERPs and AI Overview answers. The lever is to engineer concise, citation-ready paragraphs so the brand is named in the answer itself.
SEOPosition has improved from ~14 (Jul 2025) to ~8 (Apr 2026), proving the content + internal-linking work is compounding on commercial queries.
GEOPages ranking inside the top 10 are the most likely to be picked as AI sources — every position gained materially raises citation probability in ChatGPT and Google AI Mode.
SEOFlat AI visibility despite ranking gains signals that classic SEO improvements are not automatically transferring to AI surfaces — a dedicated GEO workstream is required.
GEOA 15–19/100 score in the Lake Como category is competitive but ceilinged. Growth requires structured Q&A blocks, named-entity reinforcement and authoritative outbound references.
SEOMentions reinforce brand authority signals that Google still uses to rank trusted sources — indirectly supporting EEAT and ranking durability.
GEOMentions grew from 18 (Sep 2025) to 67 (Jun 2026) — a 3.7× lift. LCE is becoming a recurring brand inside generative answers about Lake Como experiences, weddings and boat tours.
SEOCitations across ~300 cited pages mean LCE editorial content (magazine articles, guides) is doing the heavy lifting — informational SEO is funding the brand layer.
GEOCitation distribution is healthy: ChatGPT 55%, AI Mode 27%, AI Overview 15%, Gemini 3%. The next GEO target is Gemini, currently under-indexed.
SEOAudience reach across organic and AI surfaces stabilizes around 300–500k monthly impressions — a defensible base for the upcoming high-season.
GEOAI audience now consistently exceeds GSC impressions on branded topics: AI is no longer a side-channel, it is the primary discovery layer for queries like 'best boat tour Lake Como'.

The United States organic performance shows a visible drop during the second half of 2025, followed by a recovery phase in early 2026. At the same time, SEMrush One data shows that AI visibility is not yet expanding in score, but the citation and mention base remains meaningful. The key opportunity is to turn stable AI presence into stronger branded discoverability across ChatGPT, AI Overview and AI Mode.
